Founded in 2025, the firm draws on more than 15 years’ experience working across a broad range of state and federal taxes for a diverse range of entities, encompassing both sophisticated and less experienced taxpayers. Jessica Pengelly
Legal Practitioner Director
Jessica Pengelly is the founder of Pengelly & Co Legal and a highly experienced taxation and estate planning lawyer with over 15 years’ experience advising on complex tax matters.
Known for her deep expertise, integrity and approachable manner, Jessica is committed to helping clients structure tax-effectively and find practical solutions to complex tax issues.
Prior to starting Pengelly & Co Legal, Jessica worked in both large private law firms and the Australian Taxation Office (specialising in international tax and GST), giving her a valuable insight into, and practical experience of, how tax law is applied, administered and enforced.
Jessica now practices across estate planning and a broad range of state and federal taxes, with a particular interest in small business taxation, indirect and state taxes, property developments, international taxation, and food and alcohol taxation. She has worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds, from individuals and high net worth groups, to listed companies, banks and global organisations.
Jessica is a Chartered Tax Adviser, a member of the Tax Institute of Australia and the Law Society of South Australia. Jessica has been an active contributor to the tax profession, as a member of various Tax Institute committees and as a presenter at national and international industry and professional association conferences.
